It is with great pleasure that we introduce Juliana Iizuka as the newest member of our team at Women’s Integrative OBGYN. With a professional journey spanning 27 years, she has gained experience in various areas of nursing, including oncology, urology, and now, obstetrics and gynecology.
She began her medical journey in Brazil, graduating in Obstetric Nursing from the University of São Paulo in 1997 and completing a master’s degree in Nursing Education. In 2023, she reached another milestone by earning a Master of Science degree as a Nurse Practitioner from Georgia State University. Her career is marked by positions at renowned institutions such as Albert Einstein and Sírio Libanês hospitals in São Paulo and Emory Hospital Midtown, where she worked as a certified oncology nurse.
Juliana perfectly embodies the holistic, patient-centered, and evidence-based approach of Women’s Integrative OBGYN. She is excited about integrating traditional and modern medical practices to improve patient outcomes and satisfaction.
Juliana’s dedication to women’s health is driven by personal passion and significant professional experiences, including a crucial clinical rotation under the guidance of Dr. Stacey Pereira, who was a key mentor. Her method is deeply influenced by the integrative philosophy, focusing on treating individuals holistically rather than merely managing symptoms.
Juliana aims to enhance patient care by implementing comprehensive wellness programs and contributing to innovative treatments. Her focus will be on introducing integrative health practices, including nutrition and mindfulness, to complement traditional therapies. Outside the clinic, Juliana enjoys connecting with nature, cooking nutritious meals, and staying active through exercise and dance. Her lifestyle reflects her commitment to holistic health, which she brings enthusiastically to her professional practice.
